Project Description
<p>Representatives from silly PROSOCO and St. Louis-based Western Waterproofing were among the first on the scene as renovation began with a thorough façade cleaning of brick warehouses built in 1894. Sure Klean Heavy Duty Restoration Cleaner removed years of carbon and atmospheric staining, bird waste, and dirt. Sure Klean Heavy Duty Paint Stripper removed layers of old, oil-based paint and dissolved sticky tar. Once the buildings were cleaned, a few hundred damaged bricks were replaced and it was tuckpointed throughout. Minor mortar smears and other construction stains were cleaned with Sure Klean 600 Detergent. Today the luxurious “Westin Hotel at Cupples Station” is serving guests from four of the aged warehouses—saving a city landmark from demolition.</p>
