SWR Institute has two annual meetings each year.
The Fall Technical Meeting is a two day meeting held usually in September or October in varying locations in North America. The Winter Technical Meeting is three half days and is usually held in February or March in resort properties in warm locations. Both meetings have the same number of meeting hours and level of technical content. In fact, attendees of our meetings are able to get continuing educational credit from the American Institute of Architects. We have a very strong Program Planning Committee that works diligently to provide programs and presentations that are informative and well designed to meet the high standards of our attendees.
Over the years, one of the consistent remarks we have heard from our attendees is how SWR Institute meetings have helped them in their businesses. One of our long standing members says he always gets an idea or explanation on some topic that either saves or makes him $25,000!
But, having a highly useful and well designed technical meeting is only one half of the equation. The other half is the fellowship that our attendees enjoy at a SWR Institute meeting. This goes beyond the normal networking of association meetings to a camaraderie that is unique to a SWR Institute meeting. It is not unusal to have attendees become life long friends and the meetings become more like family reunions. SWR Institute supports this fellowship and in fact, it is addressed in our bylaws! We want our members and attendees to feel a part of our meetings, that is why we have the Ambassador Program where a SWR Institute member is assigned to a new member or a first-time attendee to help them get to know the association better and be a conduit to meeting other SWR Institute members.
We feel this type of commitment to our attendees is one of the reasons there is such a strong bond between our members and has helped SWR Institute be so succesful for almost 40 years .
